Make creamy strawberry banana ice cream without an ice cream maker using this simple no-churn recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen sliced bananas
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In a food processor or high-powered blender, combine the frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until completely smooth. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the fruit mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container, such as a loaf pan. Cover tightly with plastic wrap, pressing the wrap directly onto the surface of the mixture to prevent ice crystals.
  5. Freeze for at least 6 hours, or until firm. Let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping and serving.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best natural sweetness and texture.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute the heavy cream with chilled full-fat coconut cream and use a dairy-free condensed milk alternative.
  • If the ice cream is too hard after freezing, let it soften slightly on the counter before serving.
