Announcing the good news: you can make a stunning, creamy White Christmas Margarita that is simple and perfect for your holiday gatherings. This festive drink brings tropical coconut flavor together with bright lime for a crowd-pleasing sipper.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier or orange liqueur
  • 1.5 ounces cream of coconut (not coconut milk)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 ounce coconut water (optional, for thinning)
  • Ice cubes
  • For Garnish: Shredded coconut, lime wheels

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glasses: Run a lime wedge around the rim of your margarita glasses. Dip the rim into a shallow plate of shredded coconut to coat.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add the tequila, orange liqueur, cream of coconut, and lime juice.
  3. Add ice: Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  4. Shake well: Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 30 seconds. This helps create a slightly frothy texture.
  5. Strain: Strain the mixture into your prepared, ice-filled glasses. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of coconut water to the shaker before the final strain.
  6. Garnish: Add a lime wheel to the rim of each glass. Serve immediately and get ready to celebrate!

Notes

  • For a pitcher recipe for your holiday party, multiply the ingredients by the number of servings you need. Mix everything except the ice in the pitcher and chill. Add ice to individual glasses when serving.
  • If you want a frozen version, blend all ingredients with about 1 cup of ice per serving until smooth.
  • For an extra festive look, lightly dust the top of the drink with a tiny pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon.
