- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly coat a 13×9 inch sheet pan with cooking spray.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, basil, and garlic powder until combined. This is your cheese mixture.
- Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the prepared sheet pan.
- Arrange four no-boil lasagna noodles over the sauce, slightly overlapping if necessary.
- Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.
- Sprinkle one-third of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
- Spoon half of the browned ground beef over the mozzarella.
- Spoon 1 cup of marinara sauce over the beef layer.
- Repeat the layering: four noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture, one-third of the mozzarella, and the remaining ground beef.
- Top with the final four noodles. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top layer of noodles, spreading it to cover completely.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly over the top sauce layer.
- Cover the sheet pan tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes covered.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the edges are golden brown and crispy.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy edges, ensure the sauce and cheese reach the very edges of the pan during assembly.
- You can prepare the meat sauce and cheese mixture a day ahead.
- If you prefer a meatless version, substitute the ground beef with sautéed mushrooms and spinach.
