1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped black olives
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Optional: chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
In a medium bowl, mix refried beans with taco seasoning. Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the sour cream layer.
Top with chopped tomatoes, black olives, and green onions.
Garnish with cilantro if desired.
Serve immediately with tortilla chips or crackers.
Notes
For a spicier dip, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sour cream mixture.
You can prepare the layers ahead of time and assemble just before serving.
