Ingredients
Scale
4 slices artisan bread
1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon honey, plus extra for drizzling
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of fine sea salt
Flaky sea salt, for finishing
Instructions
Place the ricotta cheese, heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of honey, vanilla extract, and fine sea salt into a food processor or a bowl if using a hand mixer.
Process or whip the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes until it becomes light, smooth, and airy. Scrape down the sides as needed.
Toast the bread slices until golden brown and crisp.
Spread a generous layer of the whipped ricotta mixture evenly over each slice of toast.
Drizzle extra honey over the ricotta.
Sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving immediately.
Notes
For a savory version, skip the vanilla and honey, and top with cracked black pepper and fresh thyme instead.
If you do not have a food processor, use a stand mixer with a whisk attachment to achieve the whipped texture.
Use high-quality, full-fat ricotta for the best creamy results.
