  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • Pita bread or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine pumpkin puree, chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using) in a food processor.
  2. Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the hummus is creamy.
