Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lb pork tenderloin
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. This helps create a good sear.
In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this spice mix evenly over the entire surface of the pork tenderloin.
Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork tenderloin on all sides until it has a nice brown crust, about 2 minutes per side.
While the pork sears, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl to create the glaze.
Brush half of the honey garlic glaze over the seared pork tenderloin.
Transfer the skillet (or place the tenderloin on the prepared baking sheet) into the preheated oven.
Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit is reached in the thickest part.
Remove the pork from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the top.
Let the pork tenderloin rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain. This keeps the pork juicy.
Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
For an even quicker meal, you can skip the searing step and simply brush the full glaze onto the raw pork before baking.
If you want a thicker glaze, simmer the leftover glaze on the stovetop for 2 minutes after removing the pork from the oven.
This recipe works well as a sheet pan pork tenderloin; add quick-cooking vegetables like asparagus or broccoli to the pan during the last 10 minutes of roasting.
