Make the best keto pizza crust with this simple, 4-ingredient Fathead Dough recipe. You get a low carb base that is crispy on the edges and perfectly chewy inside, making pizza night guilt-free.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and almond flour.
  3. Microwave the cheese and almond flour mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the cheese is fully melted and combined with the flour, about 90 seconds total.
  4. Remove the mixture from the microwave and quickly mix in the egg and baking powder until a dough forms. Work fast before the cheese cools.
  5. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out into a 10 to 12-inch circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Remove the top sheet of parchment paper. Poke the dough all over with a fork to prevent large bubbles.
  7. Bake the crust for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it starts to turn light golden brown.
  8. Remove the crust from the oven, add your favorite low carb toppings, and return to the oven for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese topping is melted and bubbly.
  9. Slice and serve your homemade pizza.

Notes

  • For an extra crispy keto pizza crust, bake the crust for an additional 3 to 5 minutes before adding toppings.
  • If the dough is too sticky to handle, chill it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before rolling.
  • This recipe makes a great gluten free pizza crust base for any low carb dinner idea.
