Ingredients
Scale
1 (12 count) package King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 pound thinly sliced deli ham (Black Forest or smoked recommended)
1 pound sliced Swiss cheese or Provolone cheese
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Slice the entire package of sweet rolls horizontally in half, keeping the rolls connected in their original shape. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
Layer the ham evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. Place the cheese slices on top of the ham, covering the entire surface. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until combined. This is your glaze.
Pour the glaze evenly over the top of the assembled sliders. Sprinkle the poppy seeds over the glaze.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 15 minutes covered.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the individual rolls. Serve warm.
Notes
Use thinly sliced deli ham and cheese so they melt evenly and fit well on the rolls.
For moist sliders, keep the foil on for the first 15 minutes of baking to trap the steam from the glaze.
You can substitute provolone cheese for Swiss if you prefer a milder flavor.
