Ingredients
Scale
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Place the unbaked pie crust on a baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt until combined.
Pour in the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
Stir in the milk until the batter is smooth. Do not overmix.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the unbaked pie crust.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft and gooey.
Let the pie cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing. This allows the fudge center to set slightly.
Serve the warm hot fudge pie with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream for the ultimate indulgence.
Notes
For an extra rich chocolate flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder.
You can substitute the milk with heavy cream for an even fudgier texture.
This pie is best eaten the day it is made while it retains its warm, molten center.
