Make a thick, creamy vanilla protein smoothie bowl using minimal liquid for a satisfying breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen banana slices
  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower florets (for thickness)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (casein or whey recommended for thickness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (start with less)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen banana, frozen cauliflower, vanilla protein powder, vanilla extract, and chia seeds into a high-powered blender.
  2. Add only 1/4 cup of almond milk. You must use minimal liquid to achieve a thick texture.
  3. Start blending on low, using the tamper constantly to push the ingredients down toward the blades. Do not add more liquid unless the blender completely stops moving.
  4. Continue blending and tamping until the mixture is smooth and thick, resembling soft-serve ice cream.
  5. Spoon the mixture immediately into a bowl.
  6. Add your desired toppings and serve right away.

Notes

  • For the thickest result, use casein protein powder, as it absorbs more liquid than whey.
  • If you do not have a tamper, stop the blender frequently and scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  • Use only fully frozen fruit for the best texture.
  • Top with granola, fresh berries, and a drizzle of nut butter for added texture and flavor.
