A recipe to replicate the creamy, slightly tangy sauce found in Taco Bell’s Chicken Quesadillas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, water, and white vinegar in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the bowl.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust salt or cayenne pepper if needed for your preference.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of water by one tablespoon.
  • You can substitute plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream for a tangier flavor.
  • This sauce works well on burritos or as a dip for fries.
