Make this creamy, cheesy baked garlic bread dip for your next gathering. It combines roasted garlic, cream cheese, and mozzarella for a bold flavor that pairs perfectly with crusty bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tablespoon roasted garlic paste)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for topping)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
  • Crusty bread or crackers, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, sour cream, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top of the dip mixture.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the top cheese layer is melted and lightly golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
  7. Serve immediately with warm, crusty bread slices or your favorite crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw minced garlic.
  • You can prepare the dip mixture up to 24 hours ahead; cover and refrigerate, then add 5-10 minutes to the baking time.
  • This dip is fantastic served inside a hollowed-out round loaf of sourdough bread for an impressive presentation.
