Make these simple, handheld Blueberry Pie Bombs using refrigerated crescent roll dough for a fast, sweet treat. They feature a gooey blueberry filling and a cinnamon sugar coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup blueberry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles. Do not separate the perforations.
  3. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of blueberry pie filling onto the wide end of each dough triangle.
  4. Roll each triangle up tightly, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point. Pinch the seams closed to seal the filling inside.
  5. In a small, shallow bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together.
  6. Brush the tops and sides of each rolled dough bomb lightly with the melted butter.
  7. Roll the buttered dough bombs in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  8. Place the coated bombs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between them.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Let the pie bombs cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

  • For an air fryer method, cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 minutes, checking halfway through to prevent burning.
  • If you prefer a glaze, whisk together 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon milk and drizzle over the warm bombs after cooling slightly.
  • Use canned biscuit dough instead of crescent rolls; cut each biscuit into quarters before filling and sealing.
