Ingredients
Scale
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed (about 1 inch pieces)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions
Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into uniform 1-inch cubes.
In a medium bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned sweet potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary for best crisping.
Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously every 5 minutes to promote even cooking and browning.
Check for doneness after 15 minutes; the cubes should be tender when pierced with a fork and crispy on the outside.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can soak the cubed sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry them completely before tossing with oil.
If you prefer a savory flavor, substitute the paprika with garlic powder and dried rosemary.
For a sweet coating, toss the cooked cubes with a mix of cinnamon and a small amount of brown sugar after they come out of the air fryer.
